"KashBook" the Kashmiri version of Facebook !

A 16-year-old guy named Zeyan Shafiq who recently passed out his 10th standard along with his 19-year-old friend Uzair Jan has developed a social networking website named "Kashbook", the important thing here is that they developed this website way back in 2013 and now in 2017 they have developed the app version of this website. The main reason for relaunching this website as an app is a ban on social media in the Kashmir region that has been imposed by the government itself.

According to Times Of India, On April 26, the state government issued an order to ban all social media in Kashmir for a period of one month. The ban includes Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp, QQ, WeChat, Ozone, Tumblr, Google+, Baidu, Skype, Viber, Line, Snapchat, Pinterest, Telegram, and Reddit.

In order to access these social media websites, the people of Kashmir and the local region tend to take the advantage of VPN and then they used to access the websites, as we know that VPN allows us to connect anonymously to the server of some remote location and allow us to access the banned or restricted websites of our region.

One of the important features of this app is that it allows the users to communicate and converse in their regional language as well which is Kashmiri and the developers have named this website as "kashBook" in order to give this social networking website a Kashmiri touch that provides a familiar feel to the users in Kashmir. If you want to access the website then you can access it by clicking here

"The government has blocked access to all the social networks and they are blocking VPNs too. So, when they'll block the whole access to social media then how will people from Valley stay connected with each other? KashBook is the answer to social media gag," Zeyan said.

According to Zeyan the main purpose of developing this awesome website and then turning it into an app, is to promote Kashmiri Youth on the bigger platform of social networking and he also said that he wanted to place an example in front of other people of his region to come up and develop something new for the betterment of the Kashmiri people. Zeyan is also thinking of using this platform to promote goods and services that are made in Kashmir.

Well, this is a great initiative taken by this youngster to come up with a solution for the Kashmiri people and have provided them a platform for communication and sharing ideas, this guy learned the essential programming languages by his own and has started learning HTML tags when he was just 11, so yes it is quite inspirational to know that such great talents are there in our country and it just needed a right platform and a right place for making them better and help them becoming a giant. People have also started calling Zeyan the Mark Zuckerberg of India, well this is some compliment for the youngster.

You can Download the App from here.
