Foldable Microscope Invented by Indian Professor !

We have all seen Microscope either in our school labs where we tend to use Microscope as a part of our biology or chemistry experiments, we have seen Microscope in pathology centers and as well as in hospitals where we tend to go for various kinds of tests from Blood to Urine and so on. An Indian Professor named Manu Prakash had printed a Microscope on A4 size paper, this product is been given a name Foldscope and it costs only 30 INR and has the capability of saving billions of life.

The Microscope is in practice to identify diseases since 1644. The main problem with the traditional Microscope is that it is largely an expensive amount and required an extensive training for an individual to become proficient in using them, and another major issue with these sort of Microscopes is that it is difficult to carry them out of the places where they are usually kept to diagnose diseases cause of their weight and size.

Indian-American biologist Manu Prakash had printed a Microscope onto an A4 sized paper. This simple tool is not known as the Microscope, and it is provided a name as a Foldscope. It is believed that Foldscope is a lifesaver, especially in developing nations where the disease like Malaria and Dengue is on the rise and people are suffering from it largely. According to Manu Prakash in Kenya, there are not enough anti-malarial drugs but still, they are given blindly to people as people are so scared over there. The main intention of this invention is to increase the utilization of Microscope as the traditional Microscope are tend to be used inside the labs only, this invention can really help people to use it anywhere and with ease as well. Any one can use it to diagnose the germs and diseases and can prevent themselves against it.

Manu Prakash said, “You can throw it in water, stand on it, jump on it and throw it from a five-storey building.” Initially, they made a 1,000 of these microscopes, and this microscope costs approximately 50 cents (Rs 30) only! As it is made with the help of paper it is quite secure against all of the mentioned calamities.
Well, this is a great initiative taken by Mr. Manu Prakash and have developed such useful and valuable product, it has the possibility of serving out the people at sensitive areas very well and can really help in saving their lives.
