Top Uses of OTG Cable.

We all have heard about OTG cable, we all have used it.But for most of the time, we have used it to connect pen drives to our smartphones or tablets, but the usage of OTG cable is far far ahead of only using it to connect to a pen drive.

But before getting into the various possible scenarios where OTG cable can be used, let me talk a little bit about the OTG cable on the technical front. 

So what is OTG cable in actual? Whether it is a hardware or a software? In real it is a combination of both as for connecting some device to our phone we need the hardware that will provide the required power to the other device that is getting connected and for our phone, it is required that our phone software should provide support for the device that we are connecting to our phone. Thus OTG cable is a combination of both Hardware as well as Software.

OTG stands for On The GO, that means we can use it anywhere, anytime irrespective of the time or the place we are currently in, we can use it on the go.

• Card Reader: Gone are the days where we needed a laptop or a PC to connect card readers and get the data from it, now we have the services of OTG cable that lets us connect card readers directly to our phones and perform manipulations of data directly through it using our phone only.

• USB Hub: We can also connect a USB Hub using the OTG cable and after that, in that hub, we can connect other USB devices.
