Top 10 Myths Related To Technology !

As the technology is growing by each n every day, we are also have started using it like never before and by doing so we have grown some facts that we believe is true or correct but in actual they are myths and doesn't hold any truth. Now, what is the reason behind the growing of these myths, first of all, when we hear someone talking about something we start believing them rather than researching or trying to find out about the things whether they hold any truth or just a false information?

In this article, I am going to talk about some of the most common myths related to our daily uses of computer and technology:

1. The first myth that most of the people believe is that by entering into the Incognito Mode or the Private Browsing Mode, they start browsing anonymously and no one will ever be able to track them. It is a completely wrong understanding of the technology as by enabling the private browsing mode we are only requesting browser not to record the history, while rest of the things will remain as they were before. 


2. Another myth that most of the people carry with themselves is that the more the Megapixel is the better the camera is. It is completely wrong as the camera quality not only depends upon the Megapixels but also depends upon the other attributes as well such as the Aperture, Lens, Sensors and the Image Processing Softwares. Thus, From now on if anyone of your friend come to you and says my phone camera has more Megapixel so it is better than your phone's camera, you will be in the position to burst his myth out.


3. One of the biggest myths that most of the user believe in that MAC based laptops and computer and LINUX based laptops and computers doesn't get infected by the virus and we never require any kind of antivirus on them, which is completely incorrect.The Only thing that holds true is that as we all know that majority of population along the globe uses Windows-based PCs, so When someone tries to create some malicious code they first create it for Windows so that they can infect most of the system.Thus, these MAC bases systems, as well as LINUX based systems, can also get infected.


4. Another myth is related to the deletion of data from the hard disks, whenever we delete data from our hard disk and as well as from the Recycle Bin, we start believing that the data is now not available in our system , but I would like to tell that the data is still available in the system until and unless the address space that it was using gets allocated to some other files.


5. Another big myth that we are hearing from very long is that using our cell phone at petrol pump or gas station will blow up the gas station. Till date only one incident has been reported from gas station blowing up and later on it was revealed that it was not because of cell phone usage.It is just a security measure that everyone takes, cause it is always believed that precaution is better than cure.


6. Another myth that we just keep on hearing from our parents or from our friends is the overcharging of our mobile phones or laptops will damage the battery or will blow up our gadgets. Here I would like to say that every smartphone and laptop these days contain extra programming regarding this thing and once the battery gets fully charged the phone automatically stops accepting the electric current from outside.


7. Another myth regarding SmartPhones is that we should never charge our phone using third party chargers, which is completely wrong. There are some good quality third party chargers available in the market that can be used to charge our phone.The only thing that should be taken into consideration is just to make sure that the charger you are purchasing should be an original one.


8. Another myth that we are listening from our childhoods and most of us still believe in it is that if we won't safely remove our pen drive or hard drive then the data will get corrupted or the files in the hard drive or the pen drive will be lost which is completely wrong, the only thing that needs to be taken care off is to remove the drive only after the transmission of data have been completed or done.


9. Another myth that we keep on listening and more often than not we tend to hear from our parents or from our elders is that don't use phones all the time otherwise you will get brain cancer, I mean what? No one has ever proved that mobile phone causes cancer.As far as you are using the phone normally everything is fine.


10. The biggest myth of all time that we tend to do and we still do is after starting our system the first thing we do is to press F5  key from keyboard or just right click from mouse and select refresh we believe that refreshing a system increases its speed which is completely wrong the only thing it does is to check whether some new item has been added to the place from last time or not and apart from it does nothing .
