WhatsApp has rolled out yet another new Feature !

WhatsApp has been trying and testing so many new features these days, in order to make the user experience more convenient and wonderful. A new feature that has been rolled out a few days ago is the "Pin" feature. This feature allows an individual to pin conversations of his/her contacts on the top of chat tabs.This new feature is currently getting tested on Android Platform but expected to soon be rolled out for rest of the platform as well.

In order to use this feature as of now, you need to be a Beta Tester for the WhatsApp application on Android Platform and if you're already running WhatsApp beta for Android versions 2.17.162 or 2.17.163, you'll most likely be able to use it. You simply need to press on the individual or on the group chat you want to pin to the top and choose the Pin symbol from the top bar. The other options alongside Pin are Delete, Mute, and Archive.

Pinning a conversation will make your chat remains always on top of the chat list, irrespective of the timing of other chats whether with an individual or a group chat. No matter of you are having more recent chats with any of your contacts or with any of your group the conversation that you have pinned will always remain on the top of your chat list.

The next question that should come to your mind is that, how many conversations can be pinned, can I pin an unlimited number of conversations or there is any limit on it? So the answer to this question is that you can pin only 3 of your conversation and once you reach this limit you won't be able to pin anymore and if you try to pin anymore conversation you will be getting a notification from WhatsApp as well that "You can only pin up to 3 chats".

Now If you want to unpin any of the pinned conversations, you simply have to long press the pinned conversation and then have to select the unpin symbol from the top bar. As I told you guys earlier that currently this feature is in its testing phase only and is available in WhatsApp beta version for Android only, so if you guys can't wait to use this feature, you simply need to signup for the Beta Tester program of WhatsApp for Android or you can also download the APK file from the APK Mirror.
