The Lighter version of YouTube is here !

YouTube Go which is the lighter version of the YouTube application has been launched by Google yesterday in India. This new app is redesigned version of already available YouTube app which was announced in September 2016, which specifically focusses on the area with poor net connectivity. Google has launched the beta version of YouTube Go app so that user can have a go at it and if there exist some kind of bugs that can be reported to Google before they launch the public version of this app.

YouTube Go is different from the existing YouTube application in various aspects, here in the YouTube Go app user have the privilege of selecting the quality of video for watching or downloading it, if you have a slow internet connection then you can go for the basic quality of video otherwise you can go for the standard quality of video.

Another standout feature of this app is that It provides the user a preview of the video before they decided to watch it or download it offline. The user can simply preview the video by clicking on the thumbnail of the selected video and if the preview is according to the choice and liking of the user then the user can go ahead for either watching the video or can even download it offline.

One of the most unique features that completely stand apart YouTube Go from its heavier version YouTube app is the feature of sharing and receiving videos with your friends, the videos that you have saved offline can be shared with your friends without any Internet connection. The user with whom you are sharing the video simply have to use the YouTube Go app and have to be near by you for the sharing takes place.

It is nice to see that the companies like Google and Microsoft are rolling out app specially for our country where the internet speed is not as fast as compare to other countries. A few months back Microsoft launched the lighter version of Skype and now Google has launched the beta version of YouTube Go, these apps can surely work well in the areas where the internet connectivity is not very strong.

You can download the Beta version of YouTube Go from here, and if you want to register yourself to get notified when the public version got released you can register yourself here.
