Xiaomi Launched Smart Shoes !

We all know "Xiaomi" as a Chinese mobile manufacturer company, but this time it has come up with the concept of Smart Shoes that is having an inbuilt intel processor.Xiaomi is known for breaking the stereotypes and always coming up with new and innovative products, which proves that Xiaomi is much more than a smartphone maker.This Smart Shoe has been launched with the intention of tracking the fitness activities of an individual.

• Xiaomi is renowned for implementing technology everywhere, so this type they have come up with this awesome idea of inventing Smart Shoes, which is equipped with the processor of intel. Although this is not the first time when the company is coming up with this concept of smart shoes, It was last year when Xiaomi launched Li-Ning Smart Shoes, it was its first smart sports shoe model, after collaborating with Li-Ning, which is considered to be the country’s biggest supplier of shoes and sports equipment.

• These shoes were equipped with various military grade sensors to monitor the steps,how many steps the user has taken within a particular day or hour, or the number of calories consumed, as well as with Bluetooth connection so that the user could connect to the app on his/her smartphone and can get the information regarding their  activities.

• Now Xiaomi has again come up with a new variety of Smart shoes and they have named it as Xiaomi 90 Minutes Ultra Smart. This time, the company has selected an Intel Curie Processor, which is a System on Chip (SoC) with the size of a button, having the 32-bit architecture, 80 kB of SRAM(Static Random Access Memory) and 384 KB of flash memory. In addition, it is equipped with all the sensors and everything that an individual requires on their footwears to record and maintain data about their physical activities: gyroscopes, accelerometers, Bluetooth connectivity.

• Like its predecessor, the Li-Ning Smart Shoes, the Xiaomi 90 Minutes Ultra Smart Shoes will be able to work in correspondence with a mobile phone application so that the user can keep track of their physical activity and can retrieve or check the data whenever they want to. They can account for steps, calories, speed or distance.

• The Xiaomi Smart Shoes are currently available in four different models (two for female and two for male) namely black and surf blue for men while black and pink option for women. At the moment they will only go on sale in China at a price of 299 yuan in April and as per the reports, the shipping will be started from 15 April itself, the price in which is around $44 in US Dollar and in Indian currency around Rs.2900 at current. But, for now, there is no news of it reaching to other market areas it will only be available in China as of now. Another variant of this Smart Shoes will be available that will glow in the dark.

Everything is getting smarter these days, from our phones to our watches, so why not our shoes. I am quite excited about this product of Xiaomi and want them to make this product available in India as well.
