Around 55% of the Cyber Criminals targets the Mobile Users and targeting Android is their favorite task, now one of the question that can appear in your mind, that why these Cyber Criminals like Android so much, so the answer is that because the users who are using Android phones is very large in number, so when the hackers create a malicious script for hacking an android phone using the same they can hack into other as well so they can infect more number of users when in compared to IOS or some other OS based phones.

In this article of mine, I am going to talk about some of the signs that can prove helpful in recognizing whether your Android phone is infected or not.

Let us get started:
  • Popping of Unnecessary Ads: This is the most common way of finding out that your phone is infected if the Ads are unnecessarily popping up during some work of yours on your phone, then it is damn sure that your phone is infected by some kind of malware, and these ads are popping up so that you can accidentally click on of them and your phone will get infected more and by doing this the main purpose of the hackers is to steal your precious data.

  • UnExpected SMS Delivery: Malware have the capability of making your pocket empty and losing all the wealth, let me describe this line if you have malicious malware already installed on your device. It will automatically send SMS or can make a call to various numbers. If you find a strange type of SMS sent while you are switching on your phone, there is a possible chance of your phone been hacked. This is also known as Phishing, hackers used this method to trap users bank account details and many more important data with the help of phishing. As the hackers are sending Messages using your numbers to some contact the person who is receiving this message will surely give it a go and the hackers will be able to steal the data of that person.

  • Social Networking Ads/Social Media Ads: We all know that Social Networking giants like Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest etc. does not publish unnecessary ads on their websites, so if you want to make sure that there is no Adware installed on your phone then you can make a visit to these websites and if you see some unrealistic and irrelevant ads over there, then it is sad but truth that your phone has been hacked with the Adware Program.

  • Phone Lagging: If your Android Smartphone is freezing a lot or been continuously slowing down day by day, then you might have allowed the third-party sources to access your phone. You can notice one thing here, your phone will start to hang more frequent if you had allowed third-party sources to access your phone. The possible reason behind this is while downloading any app, and you might have downloaded some cache or file which are malicious and can damage your data. This is the most common problem that we see if we have installed some malicious codes on our phone.

  • UnExplained Data Usage: We all know how important Internet data is for us, so if some apps that you are not even using frequently is consuming the data, then it is sure that your phone is infected.

  • Dropping Phone Calls: Dropping of Phone Calls is major because of the poor network connection, but if you are facing this problem more than before then it is advisable to go for some malware removal tools for your phone, cause your phone has been infected with this dropping phone call malware.

  • Installation of Strange Apps: This is one of the most common symptoms to recognize that your phone has been infected by some malicious codes, in this approach some unwanted apps gets installed on your phone and when you remove them you will see that after some time they will be there again.

  • Redirect Malware: Well, if your Android had just installed a redirect and pop-up ads then you will notice that you are constantly redirected to a spammy web page through your web browser. So, in this case, you need to find the malicious app from your Android. You need to look for apps that look suspicious and remove it.

  • Opening some App leads to the Opening of Some Other App: This can also be seen on your Android phone when you try to open WhatsApp and your music player is opening, it is because your phone is infected.

  • Services are getting restarted: Services like Bluetooth or WiFi are getting restarted automatically, this is because the Malware makes the Android OS file corrupted and result to that the services get affected.

  • Some other signs are Overheating of your SmartPhone, Search Drawer of the Phone is not working, Phone gets locked automatically, your phone is taking more time to reboot etc.

The one step you can take today to prevent your phone from malicious malware is by downloading an anti-malware or installing a proper antivirus on your smartphone. Make sure to install the apps only from the Google Play Store, and make sure not to click on the pop-ups,  the apps that promise to clear the memory and fasten the phone are the one who installs the malware on your phone so make sure not to fall for any such applications. At last, you are the owner of your SmartPhone and its security is in your hand only, make sure to secure it and never let anyone have a go at your Device.
