Freedom 251 Maker Detained For Fraud!

Mohit Goel the Managing Director of the Noida-Based company "Ringing Bells" have been arrested by Police today. If you don't know about this Ringing Bells company, then let me tell you it is the same company that promised to provide us Freedom 251 smartphone at a very very low price 251 Rs a piece and the whole country went mad after receiving this news of SmartPhone at such low cost.

The Reason behind the arrest of Mohit Goel is that a company from Ghaziabad named "Ayam Enterprises" has filed a case against him alleging him of defrauding the company of Rs 16 Lakhs.

The owner of Ayam Enterprises have claimed that Mohit Goel along with few other members from Ringing Bells approached him and ask him to take the distributorship of Freedom 251 in November 2015, the owner of the company said to police that they paid an amount of Rs 30 Lakhs to Ringing Bells throughs several RTGS transactions and in return they only got product of Rs 13 Lakh and in total they only got 14 Lakhs Rs in return (13Lakh Rs product+Money). 

The owner of Ayam Enterprises claimed that they request several times to Ringing Bells to either provide them the rest of the product or return them the money, but Mohit Goel didn't respond to them in a positive manner and that is why they filed a case against them. They even claimed that when they ask for 16 Lakhs Rs, the Ringing Bells people started giving them death threats again and again.

Ringing Bells started the sale of Freedom 251 promoted as the world's cheapest smartphone via its website February last year, and now it has completed one year itself and still all of the people who booked for it haven't got their handsets.It's been reported that somewhere around 7 crores people have booked the phone via company's website and in August 2016 the Ringing Bells company said that they will deliver 2 lakhs handset in the first phase.

Now after this controversy revolving the company's MD Mohit Goel, it will be fun to see how the company will come out of this and when and how they will deliver the remaining of Freedom 251 handset to prove that they are not fraudulent and Freedom 251 is not a Ponzi scheme.
